LLLT & Photobiomodulation for Recovery, Skin Healing, and Pain Relief

At our aesthetic and wellness clinic, we integrate advanced light-based therapies to help patients recover faster, feel better, and achieve optimal results from their treatments. Two key technologies we use are Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) with the Fotona system and Photobiomodulation (PBM) with the Celluma device.

While these therapies use different delivery systems, they share a similar goal: supporting the body’s natural healing processes through therapeutic light.

How Light Therapy Supports Healing

Both LLLT and PBM use specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular activity. This process can:

• Support tissue repair

• Reduce inflammation

• Improve circulation

• Decrease pain signals

• Accelerate recovery after procedures-- Because these treatments are non-invasive and non-thermal, they are gentle and well tolerated by most patients.

Recovery After Laser Treatments

Light therapy is especially helpful following ablative and non-ablative laser procedures, when

the skin is in an active healing phase.

Benefits may include:

• Reduced redness and swelling

• Faster barrier recovery

• Improved comfort during healing

• Support for collagen remodeling

This allows patients to return to normal activities sooner while optimizing their aesthetic

outcomes.

Pain Relief Applications

We also use LLLT and PBM as part of a comprehensive approach to managing a variety of

painful conditions, including:

• General neck pain

• Whiplash

• Migraines

• TMJ dysfunction

• Trigeminal neuralgia

• Arthritis of the head and neck joints

• Frozen shoulder

• Rotator cuff tendinopathy and tears

• Post-operative pain

• Plantar fasciitis

• Foot and joint arthritis

• General knee pain

These therapies can help reduce inflammation and support tissue repair, which may lead to

meaningful pain reduction and improved mobility.

Treatment Frequency & Expectations

Light therapy works cumulatively. Most patients require a series of treatments to achieve the best results.

• Many people begin noticing improvement after about 3 sessions, typically performed

twice per week.

• However, results vary from person to person depending on the condition, severity, and

individual healing response.

• Some conditions may require longer treatment plans or periodic maintenance sessions.

We will always tailor the protocol to your specific goals and clinical needs.

A Gentle, Evidence-Informed Approach

By combining advanced laser technology with photobiomodulation, we aim to enhance

recovery, improve comfort, and support long-term wellness — whether you are healing from a procedure or managing chronic pain.
